  1. Regular Membership:
    • This category includes individuals licensed to work as textile engineers/technologists, apparel engineers/technologists, or fashion designers in Ethiopia.
    • Members are required to adhere to the membership regulations outlined in ETAPA’s bylaws.
    • Annual Membership Fee: 1,200 Birr only
  2. Corporate Memberships:
    • Corporate members encompass governmental and non-governmental textile, garment, and fashion design universities, institutions, colleges, manufacturing activities related to textile and apparel.
    • Annual Membership Fee: 10,000 Birr and $2,000 USD for international organizations
  3. Associate Members:
    • Associate members consist of licensed professionals practicing in Ethiopia within the fields of textile engineering, apparel engineering, and related technologies.
    • Annual Membership Fee: 600 Birr only
  4. Student Membership:
    • This category includes students pursuing their programs in both government and private institutions offering textile engineering, apparel engineering, Textile and Apparel Merchandizing and fashion design.
    • Annual Membership Fee: 200 Birr
  5. Lifetime Membership:
    • Lifetime membership is open to individuals who have graduated from recognized universities and colleges, both domestic and internationally accepted by the country’s legal authorities.
    • Eligible individuals must work as textile engineers/technologists, apparel engineers/technologists, or fashion designers in Ethiopia, whether in government or private institutions.
    • Membership Fee: A one-time payment of 10,000 Birr (equivalent to ten years of ordinary membership fees) grants lifetime membership status.
  6. Honourable Members:
    • Honourable members consist of professionals who have achieved prominence in the fields of Textile Engineering, Apparel Engineering, and Fashion Design.
    • While honorary members can attend ETAPA meetings, they do not have voting rights or the ability to hold office. They can receive ETAPA publications through subscription.
    • Honourary members are exempt from dues or assessments.
    • Honourary Membership may be conferred upon individuals who have distinguished themselves in public life or have provided meritorious service to the profession. It may also be granted to those who have been elected as Executive Committee members for three terms.
